Job Title: Technical Account Manager

Job Description:
Company specializes in developing software solutions for customers in the media industry, to leverage Ooyala’s (www.ooyala.com) platform for online video delivery and monetization. We are looking for a highly motivated individual in a customer facing leadership role. The customers you would deal with would be large media houses and TV networks in India.
We have a strong professional services team and QA team to back you up in terms of solution architecture and execution. As a TAM your responsibility is to achieve highest level of customer satisfaction, leveraging our capabilities. You would report to the one of the business unit heads and must be technically competent, capable of issue isolation and solution design.
Qualification Criteria:
Must Have:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies and networking.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting problems in the field.
- Proven ability to translate customer requirements into high level specifications and project plan.
- Minimum educational qualification: B.E. or MCS.
- Willingness to travel within India
- Ability to work within a multi-technology environment, taking on new technical challenges.
Nice To Have:
- Exposure to media industry
- Prior knowledge of video streaming / encoding.
- Hands-on development experience in one of:
- Flash/flex/Actionscript
- ASP .Net / J2EE / php
- Ruby/Python/Perl or other scripting languages
Experience:
- Overall 6+ years of software experience.
- Minimum 4 years in a customer facing role such as pre-sales/solution consulting/solution architect.
Education: BE / MCS / MCA / MCM required
Evaluation process: Phone screen followed by a technical interview
